Exhibitions for 2008

Beginning Good Friday 21 March 2008:

Post Card Exhibition - “The World of Donald McGill”.

McGill’s early postcards are often overlooked for his later and better known saucy
seaside work although the earlier cards are amongst his most accomplished.
Historically they record the social issues of the day.

Tenterden Museum has a fine selection of McGill’s work covering his entire career
from 1904 to 1962.

Also on display are rarely seen postcards of Tenterden and District and those depicting
Tenterden by Frances Firth.
