From Ashford, M20
& A20
Take Junction 9 off the M20, and
at the motorway roundabout follow signs for Tenterden A28.
You will go round several roundabouts, and through traffic lights, but
stay on the A28 - Tenterden road.
After travelling for about 6 miles you will come to the
village of Bethersden. Stay on the main road, do not turn
right into Bethersden. You will pass the:
-
Rocking horse workshop on your right,
-
The cricket pitch on your left,
-
The Bull pub on your right,
Continue on the main road - down the hill, over the small bridge. Start
to slow down, as we are about 150 metres further on, before the next
bend
You will pass the old
entrance to Bullbridge Farm on your left. The next
entrance, is to the Barn - about 15 metres.
Turn left at the traffic mirror, through the entrance gate, and then immediately right
past the front of "The Stables", continue through the next gate where
you will find The Old Barn. The front door to The Old Barn has a sign.

"The stables" is made
of brick and the Barn is a dark brown timber building.
Please ring the bell at The Old Barn
- not "The Stables".
Again - Please do not go to Bullbridge Farm.
From Tenterden
Drive from Tenterden along the
A28. You will pass the villages of St Michael's and High
Halden. After about 6 miles you will pass:
The Royal Spice Restaurant and the Garden Centre on your right,
After descending down the hill, and 3 or 4 bends. Look out for the Old
Barn sign, and you will see The Old Barn on the right hand side.
Indicate, and pull in, then immediately right past the front of
"The Stables", continue through the next gate where you will find The
Old Barn. The front door to The Old Barn has a sign.

By Public Transport
There is the Ashford
International station at Ashford, which has links from
mainland Europe. It is just over 2 hours from France and
Belgium. The bus from Ashford (which stops about 200m
from Ashford station) passes our barn on the way to
Tenterden, and will stop outside if you ask the driver.
There are also taxi's available at Ashford and Tenterden,
both about 6 miles away. The cost of a taxi from the barn
to Tenterden is about 12.00 pounds, and about 12.00 pounds

Our local station is
Pluckley which is 3 miles, however there is no public
transport available to Pluckley.
The bus going past the
barn will take you all the way to Tenterden and Rye in
one direction, or to Canterbury in another. A nice trip
would be to travel from the barn to Rye in East Sussex on
the bus, have a look at the famous town of Rye with
Mermaid street and all its cobbled streets, travel back
to Ashford on the Train over the Marshes, and complete
your journey back to the barn from Ashford by bus. A
really good day out with magnificent scenery
